Covid-19 Guidelines 2021-2022 Season

We have received updated information regarding the Covid-19 guidelines that we must follow for the new 2021-2022 dance season. The CDC, Fitchburg Board of Health and the Fitchburg School system will require mask for All students, staff and parents/guardians, even if they are vaccinated. No neck gaiters or face shields are allowed. We will give students a mask break that dance multiple hours a day.

The CDC and the American Academy of Pediatrics Department of Public Health all agree that masks, as well as a combination of other guidelines, such as daily cleaning, using separate entrances and exits to limit contact with other individuals, using hand sanitizer, cleaning restrooms hourly and H13 Hepa filter systems will in all three studio and wait areas will help to reduce the risk of getting or spreading Covid-19. We will continue to monitor any and all new updates as they are given to us.

Covid Guidelines
1. Students will be required to use hand sanitizer as they arrive to the studio. We will have a touchless sanitizer station that will be in the lobby for use and there will be touchless sanitizer stations in each classroom and throughout the studio. We will follow the CDC guidelines for cleaning and sanitization. We have purchased the correct cleaning products recommended by the CDC and are EPA approved for all hard surfaces, bathrooms and also for our Marley floors and will clean the studios surfaces in between classes. Each day the studio will be thoroughly cleaned, including the carpeted areas.

2. ALL Students, Staff, Parents/Guardians and anyone entering the studio MUST wear a mask, even if they are vaccinated. Parents/Guardians that are attending the Creative Movement class must also wear a mask. No neck gaiters or face shields are allowed. We will give students a mask break that dance multiple hours a day.

3. We have H13 HEPA Air purifiers for all three studios and one in the lobby area.

4. There will be no chairs in the wait areas, all water coolers will be removed from the classrooms. Students may bring in their own water (ONLY) labeled clearly with their name. The NO FOOD policy will be strictly enforced.

5. The bathrooms will be cleaned hourly and will have anti-bacterial soap and hand sanitizer for use.

6. The changing room will not be used, so students will be required to come in full attire.

7. There will be NO lost and found basket this year. Please clearly mark your child’s shoes, water bottles, etc. as anything left behind will be disposed of.

8. We will continue to use different entrances and exits for each class. Please look at the studio that your child/children will be in, as this will be the entrance in and exit out of the studio. Students will line-up outside of the studio entrance and the door will open only 1 to 2 minutes prior to the start of the class. We are asking that parents/guardians arrive on time to pick-up students, as they cannot wait in the studio due to the Covid guidelines. 

9. Guidelines for Pre-School class ages 4-6, Into Ballet/Jazz ages 5&6 and Acro & Hip Hop ages 5+ – The first & second week of class, one parent at a time with their child will be allowed in the studio to get the child settled in the class. All parents and children must wear a mask to enter the studio. Students must wear a mask while dancing. No neck gaiters or face shields are allowed. Once the student is in class, the parent must leave. We are asking that parents remain in the parking lot for the first couple weeks, just in case we need to call you regarding any issues with your child, such as bathroom use as our staff is not allowed to take them to the bathroom.

10. Guidelines for the Creative Movement class (45-minute class) – One parent/guardian will be allowed in the class with their child. Parents/guardians must wear a mask at all times. Students are required to wear a mask while dancing, no neck gaiters or bandanas are allowed as they slip off of the face while dancing. If a child needs to use the bathroom, masks must be worn in the lobby areas

11. At the present time we will only offer in-studio classes. No Zoom classes will be offered. If any mandates change, we will re-visit the use of Zoom at the studio.

12. If there is a Covid-19 positive exposure at the studio, we will notify all families immediately. The studio will be thoroughly cleaned.

13. All parents/guardians will have to sign a Covid -19 waiver form for in-studio classes. The form can be found on our website under recent news.

14. All visitors to the studio will have to sign a Covid-19 sign-in sheet.

15. Dancers or staff experiencing any health symptoms should not attend class. The symptoms include; fever, cough/shortness of breath, excessive sneezing, fatigue, loss of taste or smell, body aches or headache.

Additional Covid-19 Policies:
1. All wait areas will remain closed. If you would like to come into the studio to make a payment or schedule make-up classes, please call the studio first (978-343-7700).
2. The dressing room will remain closed. Please pack a small bag with required shoes.
3. We would like to schedule two in-person class observation weeks, but if we cannot they will be postponed.
4. In the event that we are required to close in-person classes per a state order, we will offer Zoom classes and regular tuition prices will remain the same if this should occur
5. We plan on having an end of the year recital. More information will be given out at a later date.
6. Recital costume deposits in the amount of $50.00 per costume will be invoiced and due in November. Deposits are non-refundable and not transferable.
7. Once recital costumes are ordered, they cannot be cancelled and you will be responsible for the balance, even if the student decides to drop the class.
8. All parents/guardians must fill out a 2021-2022 credit card form which can be found on our website. We do not offer automatic monthly payments options. Payments can be made on our website, sent in with the student in a sealed envelope or you may come into the studio to make a payment.
