Our annual Company Showcase will be on Saturday, March 11th 2023 with a snow date of Sunday, March 12th 2023. The venue is at the Weston Auditorium at Fitchburg State University. If the date changes to March 12th due to inclement weather, information will be emailed and posted on our website and Facebook. There will be two separate shows: Show 1 at 1:00pm and Show 2 at 4:30pm. A schedule will be emailed in February.

Show 1: (1:00pm) – Prep-Company, Mini Company, Petite Company, Junior Company, Novice Company, Acro Company,
Emerald Company and Sapphire Company

Show 2: (4:30pm) – “Both” Teen Companies, Senior Company, Advanced Hip Hop Routine, Emerald Company and Sapphire Company

*Please make note that the Emerald and Sapphire Companies will be is BOTH shows. We are asking that company members that are on Emerald and Sapphire ONLY, not an additional technical company such as Junior, Novice, Teen and Senior (with the exception of Haley DelGiudice and Soly Paz, as they have siblings in Show 1) to purchase tickets for Show 2. Company members and families that are not in Show 1 and may want to attend, will be allowed to purchase tickets, once all of the company members in Show 1 have purchased their tickets. You can check at the front desk on Tuesday, February 28th 2023 and we will know if tickets will be available to be sold for Show 1.

Just a reminder that this event is MANDATORY for ALL COMPANY MEMBERS, as stated in your company contract. EACH company member will be required to sell a Minimum of FIVE tickets each. Company members will receive an envelope with 10 assigned tickets (7 adults and 3 children), ONE FREE ticket for one parent and a hot pink Company Dancer Pass to watch their show only. Tickets will be given out in February. The free parent and one free Company Dancer Pass cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.

Families with three dancers in the showcase will not be required to sell 5 tickets for the third dancer. One ticket will be required for that dancer to sell.

The Company Dancer Pass and parent free pass can only be used for the show that your main technical company is in. If you are on two companies such as Acro, Emerald or Sapphire, this is not your main company, if you are also on a technical company, for example, if you are on the Junior Company, but also on Acro or Emerald, your main show will be the one that your technical company (Junior Company) performs in. Some routines may perform in both shows. If you would like to attend an additional show other than your own, there will be a discounted rate of $12.00 for both adults and children, (if tickets are still available for the show that you would like to attend). The discounted ticket can be purchased in advance ONLY at the front counter and will NOT count toward the mandatory five tickets that must be sold.

There will also be a discount ticket rate of $10.00 for MTSD Students that are CURRENTLY enrolled in the dance program that may want to attend the show. The discount student ticket will NOT count toward the Mandatory Five tickets that each company member is required to sell. The student discount ticket can be purchased in ADVANCE ONLY at the studio’s front desk.

There are a few families that have more than one dancer on company and we could not get them in the same show. These families will be allowed to purchase a discounted ticket for family and friends to attend. The discounted ticket for two shows is $20.00. This is ONLY for the families that this will affect. If you are one of these families, please see Tammy or Emma when purchasing these tickets at the discounted rate. The discounted ticket will count toward your 5 mandatory tickets for these families only.
All ticket sales are cash or check ONLY. No Credit Cards please.
Ticket prices are as follows:
• Advance Purchase: $15.00 per ticket for adults and $12.00 per ticket for children (ages 3-12)
• Door Price: $18.00 for adults and $15.00 for children (ages 3 – 12).
• Children under the age of 3 are FREE (child must sit on the lap of an adult)

You may return unsold tickets or exchange for other tickets at the front counter. There are NO refunds for tickets. If tickets are lost or stolen, replacements will not be given and you would be responsible for the cost of the lost or stolen tickets. All ticket monies and unused tickets must be returned to the studio no later than Monday, February 27t, 2023. If tickets are not sold or returned by the due date, your account will be charged for ALL 10 assigned tickets.

Show 1 will promptly start at 1:00pm. Company Members that are in Show 1 should arrive at Fitchburg State University at 11:45am with hair and make-up done for a quick rehearsal (Not all routines will perform on stage for this rehearsal). You will NOT be allowed in the building before 11:45am. Show 2 will promptly start at 4:30pm. Company Members that are in Show 2, should tentatively arrive at 3:15pm with hair and make-up done and be prepared to go on stage for a quick rehearsal (Not all routines will perform on stage for this rehearsal) We will notify company members that are in Show 2 at a later date, if they need to arrive earlier. A schedule of each show will be given in February.

The auditorium doors will open 30 minutes prior to the start of each show and no company members or parents will be allowed in the auditorium until then. Please make note that there is not a large lobby area inside the auditorium and the line to enter the auditorium may extend outside. Please plan accordingly. The auditorium seats at Fitchburg State University are all on one level and do not have as much of an incline. With that being said, movement in the auditorium may be more disruptive. We ask that parents who have company members in numerous routines and need to go back stage often to please try and sit at the end of a row or sit in the last row of seats at the rear of the auditorium. Seats cannot be saved in between shows, as we will ask everyone to vacate the auditorium so that we can prepare for the next show.

Company members will be assigned designated dressing areas. There is one large dressing area on the first level, one small room backstage for company members that have quick changes only and one dressing area upstairs, located directly above the stage. Parents, please plan accordingly, as to gain entrance into the auditorium from the changing areas, you do have to go outside of the building where the changing areas are located and enter in the main entrance of the auditorium. Unfortunately, there is not an entrance to the auditorium from inside the school where the dressing areas are located. Dressing areas must be kept clean. NO FOOD or SPORTS DRINKS are allowed in the auditorium, backstage or dressing areas, only water is permitted. Please remember to label all of your costumes, accessories and shoes with your name, as things get very hectic backstage and this will help to prevent items from getting lost.

The stage at Fitchburg State University has a high gloss finish, which will make it slippery to use Jazz boots. Unfortunately, we cannot put a Marley floor on top of the existing stage. Any routines that required Jazz boots will NOT use them for Showcase. All company members that have routines that wear jazz boots will either be required to wear stirrup tights, dance paws, footundeez or dance barefoot. Instructors will let company members know what will be required for each routine.

We will be ordering earrings for all NEW Company members, including the Prep-Company and Novice Company and will be given out in mid-February. For existing Company Members please let the front counter staff know ASAP if any company members need earrings. Eyelashes will be required and can be purchased at any department store or pharmacy. Heavy weight lashes are required for all companies, with the exception of the
Prep-Company which can purchase light weight. A list of required face make-up will be given out shortly to all new members.
