RECITAL IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER
Our Recital “Handbook” will be coming out in May. This will have ALL our Dress Rehearsal and Recital information. Where to go, dressing rooms, tights, show order, ticket pricing, along with how to purchase. It is IMPERATIVE that you check your email daily during these next few months.
What is NEW for 2026 Recital months.
FLOWERS
A flyer was sent out with the newsletter that has a QR code to scan to place your order. You can order your flower bouquets ahead of time and pick up AT recital. There will also be an option to purchase floral bouquets during the shows (quantities will be limited).
WOW POP-UP SHOP
WOW from Auburn will be at the studio selling tights and undergarments on Monday, June 22nd. If you need fresh tights for Recital (or even Nationals), swing by MTSD and grab what you need and save yourself a drive!
DANCERGRAMS
Dancergrams are BACK for our recital programs! Send “Good Luck Wishes” to your favorite dancer(s). Do you have a friend or family members that can’t attend but wants to show support? Be sure to send them our DancerGram form.
LAST FULL WEEK OF CLASSES - Monday, June 16 - Saturday, June 20 Studio will be closed for classes for Tech Week, Monday, June 22 - Thursday, June 25th, 2026.

COSTUME DISTRIBUTION - Costumes will begin to be distributed in May. A schedule will be sent out via email in April.
PROPER SHOES & ATTIRE
Please make sure your dancer has and is wearing the proper shoes for dance class. Students should be wearing the required attire to each class as well as their hair should be neatly pulled back. Dancer’s Boutique is now closed. We have been using WOW, located in Auburn MA. There is also The Dancer’s Closet in Nashua NH and Dance This Way in Concord NH.

RECITAL FEE - DUE February 2nd, 2026.
Recital Fees will be invoiced and due in February. Recital fees are $50 per student or $60 per family with multiple students. Payment for the Recital Fee must be in the form of CASH OR CHECK ONLY. If payment is made online by credit card, it will be posted towards tuition, and the Recital Fee will still be due. Our recital fee includes a download link for all three shows, a free recital pass for your dancer to watch the show in the auditorium (students ages 2-3 years old must sit on a parent’s lap) and an appreciation medal.

It’s hard to believe that the holiday season is upon us and all the hustle and bustle that goes with it! The studio will be CLOSED for the holiday vacation beginning Sunday, December 21, through Sunday, January 4, 2026. The studio will reopen on Monday, January 5, 2026!

MTSD GIVES BACK — TOY DRIVE
MTSD is once again on a mission to give back to our community this holiday season! We’ll be collecting toys from December 1 - 10 to donate to Toys for Tots. The Collection box is located in the Lobby. Thank you for helping us support local families this Holiday Season!
Twinkle Toes , our mischievous and funny elf is back for the holiday season! She is always on the move, so be sure to look for her when you come into the studio. She is very clever and loves to hide in some funny places.
HOLIDAY PARTY
We are excited to host our 3rd Annual Holiday Party! We invite all our friends, ages 4 - 12, to join us on Saturday, December 13th from 4:00–6:00pm for an afternoon filled with reindeer games, treats, dance party and an ugly sweater contest!!

RECITAL COSTUME DEPOSITS
Recital Costume Deposits are due Thursday, November 17, 2025. A $60.00 deposit per costume has been added to your account. Payments must be made by CASH or CHECK only. If a payment is made online through the portal, it will be reapplied to your tuition, and your costume deposit will still be due. Email notifications will be sent if this occurs.

Lobby
If a dancer is 10 minutes late the dancer will not be permitted in class.
Please pick up your dance promptly after class. If you are 15 minutes late a fee will be added to your account.
We now have a TV in the lobby that has all important dates and information.

Welcome to Miss Tanya’s School of Dance!
We are so excited to have you join our dance family. Thank you for choosing us to share the art of dance with your child. Our goal is to provide an experience that is not only educational but also fun, memorable, and full of new friendships.
At Miss Tanya’s School of Dance, we follow five core philosophies:

DANCE ATTIRE
Proper dance attire and shoes are required by week four.
Hair should be neatly pulled back away from the dancers face. No dangle earrings and jewelry.

No street shoes in the studios. Please carry in your shoes in a bag.
Dancers Boutique (John Fitch Hwy) stocks all required attire and shoes.
LOBBY
The lobby wait area will stay closed for the 2025-2026 season.
Drop off no more than five minutes early and pick up on time after class. If 15 minutes late to pick up, the account will be charged a fee.
Dancers will NOT be permitted in a class if they are more than 10 minutes late.

TUITION
Yearly fee (Sept 2025 – June 2026), divided into 10 monthly payments Vacation/holiday weeks included not charged. Tuition not pro-rated for shorter or longer months, 33.5 weekly classes average per season. Dress Rehearsal counts as a class. Tuition is Non-refundable and missed classes are not prorated. Please take advantage of the make-up class policy as you will gain a minimum of 7 extra classes in the season.
PAYMENT INFORMATION
Tuition is due the 1st of each month (grace period until 15th of the month). A $15 late fee will be added after 15th

Cash/check only for competition fees, competition costumes, recital media fee, recital costume deposits & balances.
**IMPORTANT: If any part of a payment is made by credit card (initial payment or balance), the cash discount does not apply. To receive the discount, the entire transaction must be completed with cash/check.
CLASSROOM GUIDELINES
Use cubbies for shoes, jackets, & dance bags.
Bring a water bottle; only water is allowed in studios & lobby.
Put cell phones on silent mode.
Tiny Tots (1.5–2.5 yrs): 1 parent in class, no siblings.
Creative Movement (2.5–4 yrs): 1 parent in class, no siblings.
Ages 4–6 & 5+ Classes: - 1 parent may stay in the lobby for first 2 weeks to settle the child in the class. After settling, parents leave wait area (stay in parking lot) Leave a reachable phone number at front desk.
MAKE-UP POLICY
Each student may schedule up to 7 make-up classes in advance from now until February 2026. For students enrolled in multiple classes one (1) additional make-up is allowed for each extra class taken.
This policy is designed to help offset classes missed due to illness or snow days.
We highly suggest scheduling them in advance to get the most classes in a season.
STUDIO CALENDAR OF EVENTS
September 22 – 27th – MTSD Spirit Week. (Wear your best Black, Hot Pink or MTSD attire and accessories).
October 6 – 11th – Bring – A – Buddy (Bring your bestie to class. Show them how you spend your afternoon and evening. A schedule of classes that may bring a friend will be emailed).
October 13th – Monday Columbus Day. The studio is CLOSED.
October 18th – Halloween Party (Annual Halloween Party for MTSD students) more information will be given out at a later date.
October 24 – 30th – Costume Week (Wear your spooky costume to class).
October 31st – Halloween – Studio is CLOSED.
November 1 – 15th – Food Drive (MTSD gives back annual food drive).
November 17th – Recital Costume Deposit Due Date. Payment is CASH or CHECK ONLY.
November 24th – 29th – Thanksgiving Break. The studio will be CLOSED.
December 1 – 10th – Toy Drive (MTSD gives back to the community).
December 13th – Holiday Party (annual Holiday Party for MTSD Students) more information will be given out at a later date.
December 15 – 20th – Holiday Week (Wear your jolliest attire and accessories this week).
December 22 – January 4th, 2026 – Holiday Break. The studio will be CLOSED.
MTSD is a paperless studio. All communication is by email.
We now accept payments online via any credit card or debit card - by clicking the graphic. Please include the student's name you are making the payment for in the field "Student Name" so we can credit the correct account. Thank you!
